Metal roofs are well-known for their durability, as the material indicates. Metal roofing may come in different styles and shapes as metal shingle roofing or sheet metal roofing. Metal roofing materials usually include the lightweight aluminium, steel, the quite expensive but highly durable and low-maintenance stainless steel, copper and different alloys. However there are also some disadvantages as the noise which the rain or hail or even birds make when coming in contact with the metal sheathing. Also, the metal panels or shingles need to be thicker when you need a plumber or a chimney cleaner to walk on the roof to avoid dents.
